The History of Allergy Associates Medical Group, Inc.
Allergy Associates Medical Group, Inc., was founded as a spin-off of Allergy & Lung Medical Group, Inc., in 1986.
Dr. Bruce M. Prenner is the founder and president of AAMG. The first office was located at 6699 Alvarado Road, and opened in August 1986. Within three years, the practice expanded to double its original size.
Within 1-2 years, it was obvious that the amount of space that the practice and Research Center would require was insufficient. In 1995, we moved to our present location at 6386 Alvarado Court. This office encompasses more than 6000 square feet, with dedicated space to the clinical practice, the business office, reception, skin testing, as well as a large waiting room. Half of the office space is dedicated to a clinical research center, which is one of the premier centers in San Diego, California. The Research Center has conducted numerous clinical trials in recent years, with a variety of pharmaceutical companies.
Our staff includes two receptionists, two business office staff, one LVN and two RNs in the nursing department, and six on the research side. We have three physicians, all board certified in allergy, as well as a very experienced physician’s assistant. Our goal from Day 1 has been to be the Center of Clinical Excellence to all our patients with allergic diseases.
Allergy Associates Medical Group conducts investigational studies in the areas of rhinitis, asthma, atopic dermatitis, COPD as well as hypertension. These studies may include adults as well as children.
Our future appears to be very promising. Newly emerging therapies are likely to improve our patients’ quality of life, as well as the underlying conditions of asthma, COPD and allergies.
We are experts in allergy control, and in providing immunotherapy for patients of all ages with chronic rhinitis, sinusitis, asthma, atopic dermatitis and insect allergy.
